What is an Affidavit of Service?
Affidavit of service, also sometimes called proof of service, is a document that process servers provide to prove they have successfully served the legal process. Creating an Affidavit of Service shows that you’ve done your job and can even serve as evidence, for example, if a party denies they’ve been served.
